Don't worry Figg the calories are off set by the extra amount of times you have to get up and go to the toilet- although that admittedly doesnt apply to me, as of course one of the advantages to drinking buckie is you get handy empty bottles closeby!

A lot of celebrities are said to drink their own urine. Apparently it's full of health giving qualities.
Maybe that's your secret, Petty.

Erm... No, I really hope not.
Also, don't dodge the point Petty, have you gotten around to seeing the expanded Kingdom of Heaven yet?

Thought so, but being male I was not certain- given we men are generally about as aware of these subtleties as a goose is of a toaster, why do women insist on being subtle at us?!

Re: Seen any good films lately? [2]
I watched When We Were Kings this afternoon. It's a documentary about Muhammad Ali vs. George Foreman -- the "Rumble in the Jungle" -- but it's just as much about the political and cultural climate in which the fight took place, as well as being about Ali himself. It's a really good film, the interviews are fascinating, and the soundtrack is excellent.

Sounds like a story best reserved as a self contained movie then.Norc wrote:just saw this movie, it was about a little barefoot guy who was hanging out with this gang of 13 other small guys with beards... and then there was this tall dude with a pointy hat, like dumbledore, just gayer.. and errr... i can't remember the name, but there was this huge serpent-like dragon

Re: Seen any good films lately? [2]
I saw Anchorman 2 last night with my brother.
It was dumb, it was goofy. I laughed a lot. Steve Carell is hilarious. If you liked the first one, you'll probably like this one.
I also experienced the 25 minutes of commercials/trailers that Sin and Eldo were referring to the other week. It was ridiculous. I think I'll stick with my local theater and its 3 or so trailers.
I might see Saving Mr. Banks tonight or tomorrow.

Re: Seen any good films lately? [2]
I havent got this passionate about a film in a very long time but, you MUST see "Rush" ! Its the James Hunt/Nikki Lauda story ! Who would have thought that geeky guy in "Happy Days" would produce great films, Directer of great films ! In my heart, "Rush" is the icing on the cake. I was held in its grip from start to finish. The pace, the ebb & flow was timed just right. The emotion was equally balanced between the two rivals. I loved & hated in equal measure but, as the climax came with the final race, I felt the most towards James Hunt. The action was just right for me, didnt focus to long & to deeply on either side of the coin, (the personal life against the professional) The crash scene with Lauda was enough to give you all you needed yet enough to make you realise what that poor guy suffered, & to see his determination to come back & not to fade away, either out of fear, ill health or pity was encouraging. For me, it was a frantic stroll down memory lane when all the great names were mentioned, Fitapaldi (spelt it wrong but Im to hyped to care) Andretti, etc. That last race of the film my heart was racing as fast as the cars ! Howard made me FEEL, I felt passion, I was hooked from beginging to end. It was poignant, heart felt without smaltz, or sicky gooey sugar shit ! It told it like it was.You saw as the lives played out, little things, like even a tiny screw attaching a wheel in mid spin as they were racing, Ron Howard seems to have a magic touch, he knows when & where to point the camera & how long to let it linger there. The film was great ! No, the film IS great, It touched me & Im still buzzing ! If you dont mind these sort of films, please, see it. Im bloody glad I did. Ive seen how a film should be, Ive felt how I should feel. After this, PJ & anything he touches really DOES feel tired, worn out, jaded. Go home PJ, hang your coat up & concentrate on something else until you can produce something that will make me feel alive ! ( I wont hold my breath !)
