The TV remote needs new batteries, by thunder!

This lettuce is wilted, by thunder!

Lighting is followed, by thunder!

My ears have been deafened, by thunder!

I've just now gotten my appetite back after several days of bed-ridden illness, and I've got this intense craving for a cobb salad. On the one hand, I really enjoy feeling hungry again after all this time. But on the other hand the only ingredient for that in the fridge right now is salad. I guess I'm half-crabbit, half-not crabbit. A kind of mixed-crabbit.

Edit: Lettuce, the only ingredient in the fridge was lettuce.

Wow, we appreciate you checking in the last few days. Glad your illness is over.

Reminds me of when we were young my brother was struck down for a couple days - totally out of it. Mom was always asking him "how do you feel?" and he'd mumble something back. Then suddenly his fever broke and he comes striding past us towards the kitchen saying very distinctly "I feel like a sandwich". Mom looked at me wild-eyed: "what does that mean?!"

It means he's hungry, mom.
