No that's in reference to a sort of lane-number thing. I believe. It's not an actual measurement of anything.

Another possible theory though for the photo is that maybe the picture-taker woke up on the plane, didn't see anyone else seated near him, looked out the window and took a photo, didn't see anyone in THAT either, and assumed the worst: that he was alone forever on the face of the earth!

If not from the US of A, a "redneck" is a country boy. The term is often used somewhat derisively if you're not one, with pride if you are one. I'd lean towards the proud side any day - as Farmer Dave shows there's probably more intellect and creativity in the country than in the city.
