Re: Tales of Home [2]
I had to go down the hill to the shop on the shore front for some extra buckie.
As the sun was heading down, and I hadnt taken any shots in the evening I thought Id take the camera along for the walk-
There is a really nice sandstone church at the bottom of the hill I have always liked-
On the shore front, across from the shop there is this building.
In the heyday of this being a Victorian holiday resort it was a posh hotel- these days its posh (not to mention expensive) flats-
'The roads goes ever...' actually its more 'over hill, under hill' around here- you cant go anywhere in any direction without having to deal with hills.
Still, keeps you fit and the muscles working- I can open buckie bottles with my arse cheeks!

Sure I was just on the train with Rylan Clark.
Unfortunately I couldn't be sure enough to throw my drink at him.
For those that dont know who I am on about... dont waste your time finding out.

I think I would have taken the risk and thrown it over him anyway Lance.

Went to Chichester today, historic town about 1hr 40 mins drive away from were I live. Its got a cathedral, which is nice but, the town itself was full of expensive shops that were well out of my financial reach !
liked this view thru a gate, I liked the tree !

Re: Tales of Home [2]
Halfy's estranged family!
I had to go to my mothers this evening to move a wardrobe, so rather than walk round the road I opted to take a trip over the golf course-
I was sort of thinkingof taking some pics for our beloved Queen-so she could see the course, but ended up mainly in woods.
But I did get this- the Scabby Knowle- the 15th-
And this is the shot from the tee- as you can see its more of a dogleg left than the map implies!
The rough is full of meadow flowers-
But I mainly took pics of trees-
Before finally cutting through the woods to get back to civilisation-
This was a bloody big foxglove- taller than me at any rate-

Re: Tales of Home [2]
Lovely photos ! I specially liked the 2nd & 4th ones after the "dog leg" photo ! I love trees also ! I like to stand right into a tree as far in as I can & look up, seeing the light play & tease thru the leaves ! brings out the inner sprite in me

Re: Tales of Home [2]
When I was a kid Azriel- Im talking 4,5 years old I had a tree as a friend. No really (and yes I did have plenty of real friends) part of me is still convinced to this day that I didnt imagine it.
There was a burn (very small stream) ran along the edge of the field that was at the end of the row I lived in, and there was this really ancient hoary old tree there- I used to climb up it and being small I could easily lie in its bigger branches, with my back against the trunk and we talked for hours. I may have grown old and cynical enough to think it was a childs imaginary friend (well mainly sure, sort of sure) but I retained a love and affinity for trees and woods.
Norc I think your part of the world is just as beautiful as this bit, but I have to admit if I had to live there its the trees Id probably end up missing most and walking through woods in the evening (my favourite time to do so).

Great pictures, Norc! It's awesome that you have so much wilderness and trees so close to where you live.
