There are a few "Errrr... what?" things going on. Morgana's story doesn't really makes sense. But then again there are a lot of shirtless-for-no-apparent-reason knights and Colin Morgan can make any weird scene make perfect sense because he is fantastic.
But it is damned good fanfic material, so much missing info to flesh out and play with.

Merlin
So much to read, so so so little time.
And it would be nice if I actually had time (and skill) to finish my own unposted and unfinished Merlin projects there. But if nothing else it's good English practice.

Whats the problem? Should be a lot easier than downloading the LotR or TH stuff as its only two files- one of them very small.
I dont have any other way of uploading it- if I make a torrent I need seeders. (if its any consolation it was three days to edit and two to sort and upload- you at least have the easier end of the deal!)

the way they are going I bet the new Doctor will be about 12, they seem to get younger every time. Although Colin would be more than acceptable. what if its Cumberbum? nah just kidding, but still........
does that mean we get shut of Clara too? will there be another assistant?

Re: Doctor Who [5]
I dont think age of actor should be a factor either way.
Davidson was young. Smith was young but I think gives the most mature acting performance of NuWho by a long shot.
When I watched the River thing back with Nagual the other day it was quite apparent when you get back to Tennants time that Tennants Doctor is younger than Smiths (even though the actor is older) -in comparison Tennants Doctor (after watching Smiths for the preceding 2 hours) seems egotistical, brash, arrogant- younger in other words.
So I think judging what an actor is capable of bringiig to the role purely on their age would be a mistake.
No word on Clara yet- she could do a Rose and stay across a regen- but we dont know how her story resloves from Name of the Doctor yet- so at the moment its very hard to tell.

I find Smith 100 times more egotistical and falsley young, like he is trying desperately to be cutesy and failing. Like who gives a shit about your not cool bowtie. he is the last Doctor I would trust, he is a dithering twirling idjit.

Re: Doctor Who [5]
Mrs Figg I can only say to wacth the River vid- I dont honestly believe you will be able to hold onto that perception when it transitions to Tennant era.
I made no prompting to Nagual about my thoughts on the matter when he watched it-and he is not the Smith fan I am, although he likes him fine enough- but its really obvious- and was one of the first things he metioned becuase of that.
Its also helped that the preceding 2 hous have a lot of Matts serious stuff in them given a lot of the subject matter is Amy/preganancy/and his own death.
I would go as far as saying its impossible- no matter how big a Tennant fan a person might be - to watch that and not see Tennant as a younger versin purely from how he acts and responds to situations.
But I would like others views on this aspect (among others) so get downloading folks!

Re: Doctor Who [5]
my criteria for a good Doctor goes like this, if he asked me to travel in the TARDIS would I go, and in an emergency do I trust him, also do I think he would leave me in the shit without doing everything to help me. to all these questions when it comes to Smiths Doctor I wouldnt go with him because I dont trust him as far as I can throw him. I would have very great doubts about his ability or need to help me if I was in trouble. i reckon he would just shrug and move on. On the other hand if 9 or 10 asked me I would go with them without a seconds hesitation, I trust them both.

Not sure trust is the right word Mrs Figg- not when applied to the Doctor and depending on where you are standing at the time- 1st, 2nd, 6th, 7th spring to mind as being manipulators, schemers and liars in one fashion or another.
For me 9 and 10 whilst entertaining and good Doctors are, well simpler, less complex characters than 11. A lot more black and white and less shades of grey. And I like my Doctor complex and nuanced.
