well, that doesn't make sense, no one is "old enough" for the doctor. i mean. he's nine hundred years old. come on.

I try to avoid taking sides in you and Petty's ongoing RTD vs. Moffat debates, but I really don't understand how one of the Doctor's relationships with a human can be icky while another isn't. There's a massive age difference no matter what.

oh blast it to buggery. I KNOW he is 900. But unfortunately I know Dr Who isnt real so all I can see is a Cougar dripping and mooning over a much younger man and it gives me the creeps. If it was Eastenders it would have the same effect on me. Gordon Bennett!

That just raises the question of what's so wrong with cougars but not with older men. Not trying to be difficult, but I really don't get it. Shrugging

Spoiler:

And the distance and depth of releationship between the two characters in the between time is clear.
As a love story, for me it has far, far more going for it than the one between Rose and the Doctor.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts Norc! (Once youve read all these spoilers)

the only reason he married River was because she reminded him of his mum. she made googoo eyes and pouted and pulled the guilt trip on him. nice.

100% sure.

you know what River reminds me of? If I had a teenage son, his best friends mum making a pass at him. She looks like one of those smug bored housewives. When she kisses the Doctor I cant bear to watch, i can almost see him recoil.

Becuase thats not even close a short summing up of what actuallyhappens, either in their releationship to one another, or at the actual wedding.

See its just agiesm because the actress playing River is older than the actor playing the Doctor.
It has nothing to do whatsoever with the characters being portrayed or the story being told.
At least I dislike Rose because of how she acts, not because the actress has an oddly large mouth and her teeth seem to grow exponentially between her first appearence and last.

I love River. In a way Clara reminds me of her, perhaps because they both have a soul and a personality and Amy doesn't.

Was hoping to see the episode today, doesn't look good though. It's already 22 and Finrod is still not done fixing the car...
