We all know people 'pop off' but, when you like someone it still comes as a shock. At least he got to his 80s. As you get older you feel the absence of these people more. Crying or Very sad

The new episode of ST Continues- White Iris- is available free to watch from the 29th.
If you haven't seen any of their episodes yet I do recommend them, especially if you are a fan of the original ST.

He's sitting on the wheel! I suppose in the future all the cars are electric and there's no such thing as oil drips, but still, you need old jeans to sit on a wheel.

ST continues to live on its truer form (I hope) in fan endeavours- though this one is not so much a fan as a collection of old ST actors making it, directed by Tim Russ (Tovok in ST Voyager)- ST Renegades-

New episode of Star Trek Continues is up- and its soooo classic in concept, setting, style and everything really you have to occasionally pinch yourself to remember its not an original episode-

There is a new official Star Trek tv series on the way from CBS.

The blurb sounds good enough-

'The brand-new Star Trek will introduce new characters seeking imaginative new worlds and new civilizations, while exploring the dramatic contemporary themes that have been a signature of the franchise since its inception in 1966.'

And then it goes and says this....

'Alex Kurtzman will serve as executive producer for the series. Kurtzman co-wrote and produced the blockbuster films Star Trek (2009) with Roberto Orci, and Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)'

Unless the guy is doing this as some sort of fucking apology for pissing all over Rodenberry then I don't think it will be for me, or in fact be ST at all in anything bar name.

I am looking forward to hearing the concept of this new series. I would like to see more of a mix of realism and of the original 'utopia' concept.

I think as I got older, things like people in bright red, blue and gold tops fighting on the ground just became annoying to me. That is why I always recommend ' space above and beyond ' as what I see to be the first sci fi series that tried to deal with things in a more gritty way.... long before battlestar made it famous and other shows ruined themselves trying to copy it.

I think Enterprise tried but I found the whole thing a little boring really.
