wearing a Cowboys jersey and got beer poured on me and had a bunch of drunk rednecks in the row in front of us yelling insults at me for the entire game.- Eldo

Two of them weren't in kilts by any chance were they? Suspect
Its just my Dad and older brother are Redskins fan and went to a game against the Cowboys few years back- got in the local paper too, presumably you dont get a lot of kilts at games normally.

Small world! Shocked I didn't see any kilts, (un)fortunately.  Actually I went with my stepmom who is a die-hard Redskins fan so she was able to shield me somewhat. Laughing

Are you by any chance a Nadal fan Ally? Or is that Rafa? Or are they same person? scratch  Rafa Nadal, sounds like an exotic breed of daffodil. drunken

It was Armed Forces Day at Ibrox the other day.

Now whilst on the surface there is nothing here to object to- our military personnal get a day out and some adulation for their work.
But this is Glasgow, and there is more behind this than meets the eye. Its hugely divisive and Rangers and their fans, and the military all know it.
The rival Celtic fans are associated strongly with Ireland and Catholics, and they hate the British Army due its involvement in Ireland and such travesties as Bloody Sunday.
This whole day is provocative and political in a city with a dangerous religious and political divide. And I for one think its willfully reckless and I dont believe these things have a place in sport.

This is where there is an advantage, of sorts, to being scottish Lance- international football on or off makes little difference as we get knocked out so early on they are effectively the same thing.

They should do a summer qualifying tournament... not these stupid breaks that just get in the way of the proper football.

The Ravens are on a bye week (hopefully it'll help them get their shit together), but the Cowboys are narrowly staying ahead of the Lions so far (in the 4th quarter now). Fingers crossed. Very Happy

Watched a couple of Pats games.... Brady needs a decent team to play with. He keeps hitting them mark and the receivers keep dropping the ball!!!

Some of the lads at work started Fantasy Football league and needed an 8th player. I was in the lead for a few weeks due to a very lucky draft, then injuries and bye weeks and players forgetting how to play apparently kicked me down.

I am really hoping Jimmy Graham's foot will be fine, he's my best player and I really need (want) his points. I need you next week, Jimmy! You can't do this to me!

The Cowboys all but had it in the bag with a minute left to go, but Matthew Stafford led the Lions down the field and jumped over the line of scrimmage at the one-yard line to score when everyone thought he was going to spike the ball. Sad Though really, while I wish the Cowboys hadn't lost, you gotta respect the balls it took to make that call while running down the field without the chance to talk to anyone else first. Laughing

I didn't know you followed American football, much less were in a fantasy league. :DI've had a bunch of people try to recruit me to do fantasy but I haven't gotten around to it yet since I've been trying to decrease the number of games I'm overly emotionally invested in. Razz

Follow and follow... I certainly have never given it this much thought before! They chose American Football because it was something nobody had any clue about what so ever, so no one would have an unfair advantage.

But I am very interested in my team and have even learned some team names, so it is a bit educational.

I have Ryan Mathews on my team though! He's a raven.
