Yes he always struck me as a 'proper' actor if you know what I mean- interested in exploring the roles and stories for the art of the thing- retreading old ground for a badly contrived cameo (and we know it will be- Bilbo/Frodo was) just to cash in on LotR's success doesnt seem his style to me.

Lee is a classic jobbing actor- he pretty much always likes to be working- regardless of his own personal feelings on the quality of the films or roles. He has made no secret of his loathing for many of the films and parts he has had to play over the years- but he is of a generation where you dont turn down work.

Cate's work I dont know well enough to judge.
