Ok so the film ends when most of the dwarves are crushed to death or puncured by splintered wood when this falls on them- it appears to be wearing a crown.

So long as Tauriel shows enough skin I may forgive Tolkien for all the rest he left out. Unfortunately she seems to be covered wrist to ankle. If you're gonna interpolate at least make it worth it, dammit!

I like Radagast, and the hedgehog, did u know the sherlock fandom refers to Martin Freeman/watson as a hedgehog? I think the wargs looks good. they're not supposed to look too wolfy, or else it's just .. too cuddly. I wish they would have dialouge for the trolls, but hey... I frankly don't care anymore.

Knowing Jackson's sense of humor, there will probably be plenty of Short jokes between Tauriel and Kili.
I still hope that there's no romance between them, but if there is, that's why. To be able tell those jokes! My prediction, anyways.

yep, you should take a look, the golllum scene is adorable.

Im having problems playing it at the moment sadly- bad stuttering playback.
And adorable- yes thats exactly the first adjective that springs to mind when I think Gollum.

I think the moment between Thorin and Elrond is sort of neat. All the Gollum moments are dumb though. Played for comedy or like the additional ending to remind people of Lotr. Just as I feared.
The additional Bilbo ending was alright. Sort of the same problem as the Gollum comedy, a bit too modern. I think the Bilbo ending was alright enough though. I still would have preferred," Struck by lightning" instead of him just fainting.

I like the Gandalf ending to the trailer the most. Pure invention, but good. I think it captures Bilbo and Gandalf's friendship really well while also conveying the distrust from the dwarves Bilbo will have to overcome. Sets the the stage nicely.

Where's Ally got to these days? I would have thought she would have been right alongside you Norc, cheerleading for PJ.

Thanks. It's great to be back... The new trailer made me laugh, TBH. as I think there's TWO films within it. A colourful, exciting, Bunny-sled led Kids film in the vein of throwaway 'Spy-Kids' type romp, all reds, gold and Blue etc, then there's the erm, Boring old bothersome 'Real' Story to get on with, in its Browns, greens, silvers and Blacks. I absolutely LOATHE the scottish Thorin, catty Morgan Freedman as Dildo, and the Beefed-up Smeagol who already feels primed to be Angry from frame one. Not his 'Innocent-lost' air that he has until he finds his Precious lost. Shame that. Looks like the Jigsaw's all made ready tocutup... PS. IHATE the Misty-mountain Orc that fights Dildo too. (and where did THAT happen in the book ?) 6/10 in all honesty...

I'm sure my perspective on the trailer will be different once the hype is a little less and I have more time to think about it.

Seemed rather obvious to me that this is the Great Goblin, but I could be wrong. I don't have any of the concept art for him in front of me but this picture looks rather similar to what I remember of the sketches.
