Id say more when RTD was the showrunner they were super criticial of him and hearkened back to Classic Who eras for how it should be done.

Some info on the xmas episode- if you dont want to know about who is in it (characters and actors) dont read!
Also the expected running order for the remaining 8 episodes of series 7 has been announced and it confirms that Neil Gaiman who gave us the wonderful 'The Doctor's Wife' last series is back!
Some good casting in this second half of the seires too- its great to see that quality actors are wanting to be in Who again!

- We've known for a bit it would be set in Victorian London and that the new companion was going to be (re?)introduced and that Richard E Grant was the bad guy of the piece - but in what sounds like a great bit of news to me it will also feature some characters last seen in a Good Man Goes to War- namely the wonderful Madame Vastra and her sidekick/lover Jenny and the brillaint Commander Strax.
Also the expected running order for the remaining 8 episodes of series 7 has been announced and it confirms that Neil Gaiman who gave us the wonderful 'The Doctor's Wife' last series is back!
