Re: the all Dog thread!
Dogs are sweethearts. Cats think they've got some kind of entitlement just from being a cat. It felt good to see the dogs finally give up on being sweet and give them a good dragging around.

Re: the all Dog thread!
Any dog tried that with any of my cats would be one very sorry dog, with a very snore scratched nose

Re: the all Dog thread!
Slow-motion video of dogs shaking their heads.
http://vimeo.com/77111226
So much for my brief stint of sort of becoming a dog person. Dat slobber.

Re: the all Dog thread!
If dogs could fix their slobber and breath, they'd be perfect animals. Cats need to fix their shedding (dogs have it too, but not all dogs) and certain parts of their personality.
I think a dog personality in a cat would be absolutely smashing.

Re: the all Dog thread!
Omg that video was fabulous!!!! That grey- haired fluffy dog is a grey briard (kinda rare). Altough i feel a bit bad for those dogs who barely can lick their nose and who's eyes disappear.

Cats are little fuckers that are the most annoying animals ever to walk the earth. Little shit bags!
I want a really big dog (a pack would be even better) that I can let run around getting all the little fluffy bastards.

Re: the all Dog thread!
I let our cat out last night and she has not returned this morning! That is so out of character the Missus was in tears this morning. Bad Kharma I think. We fear the worst. My Missus didn't like cats until she got this one. She likes the cat more than she likes me! It's a Ginger Cat btw, and 'Ginger' by name - seemed inevitable somehow. If you guys see her, send her home, please.

I had no idea their lips were so stretchy.
Also, the long haired ones (I think one was collie) with all the swirling fur were pretty cool.

Re: the all Dog thread!
I'm really sorry to hear that, Orwell. I hope your kitty finds her way home soon! I have a ginger cat too, he's a cuddlebug with me. He likes to go outside though and I worry that something will happen to him some day.Orwell wrote:I let our cat out last night and she has not returned this morning! Re: the all Dog thread!
if you're wondering what the little dog is doing, he's making himself look bigger and more dominant. clearly body language has nothing to do with body size

Re: the all Dog thread!
47 pages and not one Fred Basset cartoon?
I'll share one then.

Re: the all Dog thread!
Wasn't sure where to post this, so I'll put it here.
Dogs have always been a big part of my family. We're "dog people"; always had dogs, never had cats. Friday my grandparents had to euthanize their dog of 15 years. It was amazing that she lasted that long. My grandparents overfeed every dog they have and she looked like she was about to burst over the past four years.
I don't have a picture to show, but she was a Blue Heeler, such a sweet and smart dog, and extremely athletic in her younger years. There's a picture somewhere of her jumping over my dog to catch a frisbee. She would always smile at my dad when we would visit.
It was just so heartbreaking to see her deteriorate, and I'm surprised she lasted as long as she did.
My dog is now 14, and I'm really nervous. I don't think I'm going to be able to handle losing her. I'll try to find some pics of her to post later.
Edit: here's a picture of a Blue Heeler for reference. This is the closest that I could find that looked like my Grandparent's dog, except the colors are way off.
These are more accurate colors, but with the face and physique of the first picture.

Re: the all Dog thread!
Bit of a coincidence, but just that trick was a quite central plot point in a Poirot episode I saw recently.Norc wrote:

Re: the all Dog thread!
I'm sorry to hear about your grandparents' dog, bungo. One of our dogs is about 13 or 14 (we don't know for sure) and has a lot of health problems, so he probably doesn't have much time left. I was very young the last time we had to put a pet down and wasn't aware of the decision, but this has been bothering me more than I thought it would. :/
