ok. leopold. my dog. he's stepped into something really fishy. yes fishy. i don't know what the hell it is, but it smells of bad, old, fish, liver yuk, and it has the consistece of chewing gum. I can remove it with soap or water, i tried cutting it off with a scissors but it proved very difficult, because of the concsistence and that my dog doesn't really like standing in warm water for a very long time and was kinda stressed and didn't like the sound of the scissors close to his paws and that the yuky shait was all between his toes and blargh. now he smells of a mxiture of pink bubble gum and rotten fish. i need one of those mechanical clippers.

it seems to be hurting him too because he keeps licking it, it's like this big lumps, and he doesn't want me to look at it.

Not exactly pet bears, not even really "tamed". "Socialized" is probably the best word.
There is a lot of film on Charlie Vandergaw. I don't have enough speed to watch this, but it sounds like an interesting episode in the series....grizzlies are always interesting!

Actually as I think about it, my Mom did have a pet bear story from when she was a little girl spending summers on a tiny island in SE Alaska. I'll try to remember to ask her for the details next time I see her.
