Well to be fair, CNN's reasoning for calling The Hobbit the worst film of the year was pretty stupid. Especially given that we had a massive turd like Total Recall released in theatres this year.

I suspect the thread will be quite entertaining though. I already had a good laugh at the person complaining about the new Tarantino movie for ... some reason (I assume jealousy). Laughing

My 'cult' comment has remained, thats hilarious, it must have gone straight over their heads, either that or they are refusing to notice, kind of lalala cant hear you. that idiot told an older lady called Elizabeth to 'go and have a lie down', and made other cracks about her age. like she was too old to have an opinion. thankfully his arrogant crap was deleted. what a wanker.

After perusing the forum, the good people of theonering.net have helped me see the light.

I had it all wrong when I thought The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey didn't do justice to the book.

You see, I was labouring under the misapprehension that mangling the plot, characters and dialogue was bad but it turns out, if you capture the SPIRIT and the ESSENCE of the book, you can do pretty much whatever the hell you like to the plot, characters and dialogue!

Silly me!

I also learnt that Peter Jackson is now "Master of Middle Earth".

omg, although i praise the film and wouldn't bash the filmmakers or anything, I do see parts of it being controversial and some of it a bad idea.. but I am not like torn people where all PJ-shit is gospel xD

I especially like 10.

We practice general rules of "netiquette" here, including NOT POSTING IN ALL CAPS (it's considered shouting)and not 'hotlinking' directly to pictures on another website (it uses up their bandwidth which is costing them money).
