Also, 5 PM Pacific equates to...

Eastern US = 8 PM
UK = 1 AM
Fjordlandia = 2 AM
Perth = 8 AM
Melbourne = 10 AM

Footage from the panel being available later is a definite possibility. It's completely up to WB though.

My initial instinct is that they're just saying this to make people happy and that since WB isn't letting people film, they're not going to release footage online, though I suppose they might post a small portion. I'd love to be proven wrong.

I'm sure that will happen, Petty. I was following The Legend of Korra presentation yesterday and there were a ton of pics and video that found their way online even as it was happening.

Also, the more I hear about Pacific Rim the more I like it, though the Giant Robots and Japanese-style sea monsters might put off some people.

I have been following this live feed Torn thing all day, and all I have seen is people running around hotel rooms, none of the interviews could you hear what was being said, its rubbish. even on my pocket calculator.

Although he wouldn't outright commit to saying "Yes, I'm doing a 3rd film," he did NOT close the door completely, saying: "There's much more material from the Appendices of LOTR that we didn't fit in." Killing time before the show ... I did not expect the biggest Hobbit news from Comic-Con to be the renewed potential of a bridge movie. PJ just can't resist the chance to become the next George Lucas with these prequels.

Ok, so what I got from that interview was that Jackson is going to play up the split personality of Gollum. Play up Thorin's motives as an exiled king with revenge on his mind. Did Armitage confirm if Azog is dead by the time the story begins? Exiled king seems a bit derivative of their Aragorn type character archetype.

The girl's statement at the end worries me the most though. " It's in the spirit of the book." that is not only vague, but also means that is not the actual narrative. If it was why say spirit?
