Doctor Who

Haven't had the time to yet, been out fishing all day (even caught a fish this time - woho! ). I'll have a look at it tonight with supper

What did you catch?

A small (although fat) trout. Wasn't really worth bringing it home, so we cooked it on the fire. Lovely

Odd but true even stuff you screw up and which ends up more charcoal than food still tastes good if done on a fire outdoors.

There's supposed to be charcoal on everything you eat that's cooked on a fire

Yeah but its not supposed to be mainly charcoal! (Which with my culinary skills is often what I end up with).

Well, that's the beauty of outdoor cooking - even men can do it And as Eldorion rightly points out:

It is odd how men like to cook outdoors but expect the women to cook when its indoors. Whats that all about then?

Right all this talk is making me hungry- time to go burn something and call it dinner and watch another Who episode. I'm up to Vincent and the Doctor already in the box set!! (better get the hankies ready for this one )

Must be because it's not called a kitchen when you're outdoors, i.e. no place for a woman to be, but perfectly suitable for men

Just watched the first part, very interesting! (Although I think I prefer Amy as the companion ). Will have to save part 2 for later, probably time to go to bed soon!

How did you find watching a different Doctor? And I love (as in I find it heartbreakingly sad now) the look on Rivers face when she realizes he ain't bluffing and he really doesn't know who she is. KInd of weird because you have seen this story partly the wrong (right?) way round. In a sense you've been following it more from her pointof view, sort of. Timey-wimey!

Tennant was good, but I think I prefer Smith. I'll have to watch some more Tennant episodes before I decide

It's sort of like Star Wars - it works

Tennant is an excellent actor and when he got a good Who script he is tremendous (but those scripts were few and far between). But I prefer Smith by quite a bit, he's more 'alien' like Tom Baker or Patrick Troughton was whilst still giving it his own twist.

Good Not that I dislike Tennant (anymore), but I'm eager to watch more Smith episodes

And Tennant is only in Blink for about 10minutes. Its a Doctor story without a Doctor!

Sounds strange! It's not Tennant I dislike it seems, I did enjoy his performance as the Doctor. The reason I haven't liked him before is because he annoyed me so much in one of the Harry Potter films (in my opinion the worst one in the series, even though I can't remember anything from it - I think I must have repressed the memories of that horrible film!)

Well that explains it- not a HP fan so don;t think Ive seen whichever one that was. One more thing I'd recommend about Blink- watch it in the dark!

Hmm, judging from what I've seen of Doctor Who so far I'm not sure if I should!
