Different tribes- the excuse for the difference in appearence in The Hungry Eartth is that they are a different branch of the same species.
There is precident for this as the Sea Devils were also an offshoot of Silurians but looked significantly different. I thought it was a nice touch to make the face masks they wear reminisent of the original Silurian design however.

cheers Norc- you are viewing like a true Whovian- as fast as possible!

Youve got the season finale up next- I can't wait to see what you make of it.

Loving the sig Norc, although it is slightly wrong- that last line should read at the end "Or the little green one in Star Wars. Woohm.!- Not to be pedantic or anyhthing- I just like the lines.

There are links to episodes a few pages back if you need them Lorient.
If you have younger siblings (down to about age 4, or older relatives up to 100+) watch with them- one of the few family tv experiences left in the world, which is part of its appeal.
Hope you enjoy and we can throw a party to welcome a new Whovian into the fold and I get to wear a bowtie to it. Bowties are cool. Very Happy

ps-edit add -Norc did you notice a reference to the subject of my sig in the Flesh and Stone Angels episodes? Just curious- as far as I know it has no meaning, but I have my suspicions!

I watched Forest of the Dead tonight. I probably stayed up too late to do so but I really, really loved it. The neural ghosting really disturbed me in part one and it was still pretty disturbing in this one too but I loved the way they ended. I didn't want a soul-crushing ending and Moffat delivered. There were some cheesy parts but the acting was for the most part very good. Even though I don't know a ton about Who I think I was still able to follow the story pretty well.

Also, I really love David Tennant. He was portraying the Doctor when I first became aware of Who (which was before I ever posted on this forum) but this is the first time I've actually seen him in a full episode. I loved his performance. I haven't seen enough of either him or Smith to rank them but Tennant made more of an initial impression, meaning no disrespect to Matt.

I'm looking forward to watching more Who soon. This has been a great ride so far and I'm only two episodes in. Very Happy

I like Tennant too, he was excellent, and in some of my all time favourite episodes, like the stone angels and the one where they are all stuck in a pod thing and they just talk, cant remember the name of the episode. also he has my favourite assistants, Rose and Martha. the brilliant Sally and Kylie I mean. Razz

KYLIE cheers

I am just gearing up to watching all the Donna episodes, I have a feeling I will like her. Very Happy I need to find Runaway Bride first though.
I really wish I could like Matt, I do try, maybe it will be different with this new girl.
