Well time I was retiring to my barrel, running low on buckie here and it is almost 5 in the morning and I should have been in bed, oh at least 5 hours ago. You know Kafria was right-it is to much fun on here at night. Very unfair how you all live on the wrong side of the planet you know- its playing merrily hell with my life and making me even more crabbit than usual.
If you want Wisey I can take Porgy with me, she sleep in the spare barrel and at least I'll have someone to get me breakfast in the morning- wouldn't want her falling out of good habits now would we?
Just curious Odo, what keeps your glasses up? Moral will power? Or moral indignation maybe?

Sorry guys, had a weird day and will be pretty busy this weekend. Hurricane Irene is coming through and we might lose power for a while, too. Will keep you guys posted and come online when I can!

Stay safe we can't have you away for too long, you'll miss the picninc and I shudder to think what this place would end up like if it was left to me to be in anyway responsible for it. Thanks, Petty and Orwell. We've already stowed away most of the stuff outside, particularly in our carport (which took a long time ) and we're going to finish up with the back yard today. After that there's not much to do but sit tight and wait it out and hope the power stays. Part of the trouble is that both my brother and I were supposed to move on campus (to different campuses) this weekend, but we're already getting e-mail notifications about alternative plans being made.

Anyway, Maryland is fairly out of the path for Hurricanes and we haven't really had one in this area since 2005. We should be okay and if all else fails we have a basement.

And of course he's already arranged for me to keep my eye on Forumshire if something happens.

That is good news Baingil as it means I can cast off all pretence of respectability and officialdom and just get buckied. See this is why the world needs women. To do all the jobs males can't be a***d doing and letting us get buckied instead! Hurray for women especially mothers, housewives and women of illrepute (who never get enough praise in my opinion and should be encouraged more).
