ooo sounds tasty. My friend makes homemade wines (and whines) usually out of unpleasant sounding things like stinging nettles. Still any port in a storm and any bottle in an emergency.

Prep room conversation these days seems to revovle around brewing and identifying elderflower sucessfully

Less keen to try my own brew after the incidetn of the elderflower champagne exploding in a collegues kitchen!

I believe my friends last brewing session ended with the result 6 bottles of wine to 4 exploded bottles. (I've always wanted to try the exploding stuff myself!) I think it must be a wine making hazard.

seems to be, our tech has been brewing her own for years, Julys batch is fine, for some unknown reasons Junes is cloudy? she don't know why!

Not an expert (or even a very good amater) but that rings a bell- sure my friend said something about that- I think its contamination- somethng on the inside of the bottle that gets a new lease of life during the fermenting. But don;t quote me on it could be the buckie talking (it gets quite chatty but not necessarily accurate).

I'm sure Kafria, Ringdrotten is not delibretly ignoring you, after all that would be rude an foolhardy and he is never either of those, holder of the Most Respectable award after all.
Have some more wine and it will all seem better. (if it helps imagine I sound like Sean Connery- I don't, what with him being a nampy pampy Edinburgh sort and me being a real Scot on the West Coast but if it helps).
Mmmm I have the distinct feeling there is a female somewhere in distress and indeed of help and comfort... I know what to do, I'll drink more buckie until it goes away! That usually works.
