No wonder you're not going to heaven, Chris!

Hey! When I left I thought there might be some blood drawn - but everyone's turned into Bambi! How disappointing!

Two hour walk- thats just a stroll, probaly all flat ground too!
and no not much chance of me shutting up- and for someone relying on someone else to provide a music video for the picnic I expect more sooking up and less bloomin' cheek!

Would it be to easy for God to drop in from the sky and say , here i am everybody i do exist.
I forgot, to look upon the face of God means death. He could wear sunglasses and a baseball cap.
Why is it death to any man who sees God, i never got that bit. Sounds like a cop out.

As no one is here to defend God, I must play Devil's Advocate. Now look here, Chris, leave God alone - or else!

I never mentioned Illuvatar! I don't need to believe in Illuvatar I can get Tin to take messages to Illuvatar if I want whilst she's in Valinor. Believing in Illuvatar is like believing in a table- you can if you want to but what's the point?

As solid as a table? A real God to believe in? Not a made-up God? Is that what you mean?

Actually Eru (praise be your big shiny awesomeness) my point was more that there is no need to believe in things which exist. Its is not required. It will continue to exist whether you believe in them or not. I'm not so sure that holds true for Gods. (or at a quantum lever either for that matter).
Maybe God was just an early quantum waveform that as the Universe developed and expanded collapsed! Shocked

Oh Eru, Eru, like a star,
How I wonder what you are,
A ball of gas? A dream long held?
Perfection itself, by Life Unmarred?

Oh twinkly twinkly glinty light,
High up in the Holy Heavens,
Shining brightly on our lives,
On all the Kate's and Johns and Kevins,

Guide me through my difficulties,
Give me luck at cards and dice,
Hold me up when I am falling,
Give me those insights one gets on Ice.

Oh sweet Eru - twinkly being -
Who some do call Great Illuvatar,
Tell me is it true what's said,
That you cohabitate with the Evenstar?

Whose beauty is beyond mortal conception,
Whose Wise as Wisdom and smooth not rough,
Do you lie up there on a cosy cloud bed?
Are you fondling her breasts of sparkly stuff?

Oh here I sit, and meditate,
While others kneel and supplicate,
And yet others kill with bomb and gun,
It's because we all think you're Great!

We'd do anything for you, Oh Lord,
Though sometimes we do taste doubt,
I mean, why the f*^k did you make Sin?
Did the Evenstar upset you sleeping about?

But never mind, we love you, our King,
Our Shepherd, Lamb, Lion and Giraffe,
Our Everything, our Atom too,
With your great grey beard and thorny staff...

Oh sorry, I was thinking of Gandalf then,
Or Dumbledore or Merlin, even if they're Myth,
I know they're just made-up caricatures,
To entertain us when with life we're pissed,

But they can never take your place,
Replace your Cruelty, Hate, and Baby Killing,
Your Wrath, your Love, Your sudden Grace,
Even if your Mood Swings are chilling.

Oh Sparkly Larkly, Bright Shiny Being,
Lying in your bed with Evenstar,
I know you're God, I know you're True,
It's only stupid people who don't know who you are.

"Psalm 18." Book of Curdie. As written down by Curdie McCallister, Milwaukee, who found the Wisdom of the Ages etched on Crinkle Cut Chips (Upsized bag) which he read, digested and memorized.

Petty and I are trying to start a new religion, do you mind, Wisey? And the first time our Blessed Shiny God appears (Bless Eru!) you go channelling stuff from the deluded mind of a fictional American (though I am impressed how you can do that - very metaphysical, what!) Now, if you must channel in relation to God (Bless Eru!) channel up something responsible - and not some fictional American's delusions! Mad
