I wanna know how a "Bree-landian" can be a "Shireling"? Bree (and its queer folk) are 'outside' the Shire from what I remember! Suspect

Thankyou Amarie for helping out with those definitions- but it does not do the majesty that is crabbit justice- must have been from an english site. Mad
(mainly though these definitions always fail to pick up on the inbuilt humour, even the word is meant to sound comical).

And worse no mention of crabbit mathmatics, the importance of crabbit meters or how to build a successful nation out of the belief things just arent good enough, especially things other people are doing, and we may as well all just go down the pub instead and complain about it until we are drunk enough to either fix it or more usually fall over. drunken

Yeah, there's a system of ranks that everyone advances through as they gain more posts. It's based on all the places that Bilbo visits in The Hobbit. It currently tops out at 500, though I should really update it soon. Also, some people have custom titles.

The list of ranks is right here. Smile http://www.hobbitmovieforum.com/t43-new-forum-ranks

"Wannabe Beard" was a joke about how on the Old Forum GB had way more posts than anyone else, and none of us could ever catch up to him. It's a lot less relevant now that he's stopped posting and Petty is the one who outstrips everyone in terms of posts. Laughing

I don't understand the 'wannabe beard'. I thought maybe it meant wanting to be GB.- Hlafwise

It does. On the old forum GB was the highest poster, no matter how hard some folk strived to cacth him (the commerative spamathon tradition people occasionally go on here, posting in every thread, I believe originated about this time).
Eldo therefore made the highest rank on Forumshire a 'wannabe Beard'.

Azriel you can request a title if you wish, or some folk like the community to make suggestions for a title for them.
Or you can stick with the default ranking system Eldo put in place.
In which case you can look forward to one day becoming a 'Man of Dale' and confusing Orwell even further. Very Happy

Double posting Eldo but I cant be bothered changing it! drunken
