It is Moffat though- and he loves to tease the fans- this is the man who teased before series 6 of Who that a main character would die in the first episode- then killed the Doctor within 5 minutes of the start.

since it seems we're never going to get season 3... since Sue Vertue took filming date from january to march...

Sherlock - BBC - Page 32 Tumblr_me5k0auWKL1qdrbf4o1_500
Taking down Moriarty’s web took a little longer than expected, but London’s favorite partners in crime solving are finally back together again! (“Fifty-three years, Sherlock!” “What?” “I SAID, FIFTY-THREE YEARS!!!” “WHAT??”) Everything happily goes back to normal again, except for maybe a few changes! Mrs. Hudson is still alive, but she’s a computer now (the hip’s doing fine)! Lestrade retired twenty years ago but the duo still bother him for cases all the time! The Game just ain’t as Great as it was back in my day! The Blind Banker is actually going blind! Help, I’ve Reichenbach Fallen and I can’t get up!

Okay, so Sherlock and John have to take two-hour naps in between cases and no longer have teeth, but hey, you finally got your Season 3, so who’s complaining?! OH! GOD! IRENE! NOT THE BATTLE DRESS! NO!

I didn't know they bumped back the filming date. Looks like there was truth to the rumors that it will air on the BBC in the fall rather than the summer. Hopefully it won't be later than that... Smile

A later air date makes sense. Gives Moffat and co time to get all the Who 50th anniversary stuff and presumably series 8 sorted first.

Freeman and (possibly) Cumberbatch are also going to have to go back to New Zealand for The Hobbit pick-up shoots, too. That's supposed to happen sometime in 2013. I think filming on Star Trek 2 has already started so at least Cumberbatch should be done with that before much longer.

as the first elementary episode aired here today, I watched the first ep today. It is more fast paced.. but .. idk.. it doesn't feel like Sherlock Holmes, yet it isn't so bad. Lucy Liu is gorgeous, but she is no Watson. i prefer BBC, but... i think i'm gonna see the next one too Smile any Sherlock is good Sherlock ^^
