Nice Kingfisher there. I spent hours with a Kingfisher by a river in Wales but all my photos sucked!

It took me a good 15-20 minutes of sneaking down the riverbank after it to get that photo, I took maybe 10 others but that was the clearest. I had seen Kingfishers occasionally but that was the first time one sat still long enough to grab a shot Laughing very fast and very camera shy birds!

Herons on the other hand seem to be far more common and completely at ease with humans, I suppose given their size they don't really have much to fear.
