Re: Tales of Home
{{ Fantastic Chris. I used to ride a bit when I was younger, not been on a horse in years though, makes me want to get back in the saddle. Not the cheapest hobby though. Daughter of a friend of mine runs a horse school here, so if your ever over this way and looking for somewhere to get a horse for a day out she's the lass to see. }}

Re: Tales of Home
Confused - is that the actual horse? Why not pictures with the kid? Was that a promo video to sell the horse?

If your talking to me Halftime, yes that is the horse. This bloke breaks them in or whatever it gets called now. He lives 400 miles away north of Perth. As for pictures, I use my phone and I don't no how to upload a picture only YouTube vids.

{{ I use this site for posting images on here Chris - https://imgbb.com/
Pretty straightforward, click upload, then select browse from device if your on a mobile phone, if on a pc just the upload button or drag and drop the picture onto it, it'll upload and once its done click on your picture it'll take you a page with it bigger and below it you'll see 'About' and next to that 'embedded codes' click on the embedded codes one and copy the 'BBboard' option, then just paste that straight into your post here and bingo done.
Alternatively Forumshire does have an inbuilt picture upload I think, but Ive never used it! }}

Re: Tales of Home
You don't need another site, you just need to get the photo onto the same computer you use for forumshire. Then it's a two icon click process, all done right where you are typing. To follow this, look up the icons above while typing a message. You'll see two icons to the left of the paper clip thingie. One has two squares on top of each other (computer screen and floppy disk?) the other has a screen and a circle (computer screen and camera?).
Icon A (two squares)
1. Click the two square icon thing. You can select your photo file by either drag and drop or clicking on the "select files" and navigating to the photo.
2. A little blue download arrow will appear next to the file location. Click on it.
3. A bunch of urls will appear for your file. Copy and paste the top one.
4. Click anywhere to close this whole dialog box.
Icon B (square and circle)
5. Now go to the second icon, the one with the square and little circle next to the paperclip. Click it.
6. Paste the url you copied into the box.
7. Click the "insert" button.
You're done. It seems like a lot of steps, but I broke it into every detail a numbskull like me needs. Once you've done it a couple of times, the little symbols and boxes beckon to you and you'll feel like you're being walked through the process.

Yeah, you'll need to open the instructions in a separate window to keep it in view.

Re: Tales of Home
So I made a screen movie of how I inserted this image of this bus I'm obsessed with (parked on the grounds of a bar in the hinterlands of Pennsylvania) and once I have it in youtube will post it here.
And here's how I inserted it. The only thing you can't see clearly is when I did ctrl-c to copy the image url, but you can see me highlighting it. There's about 15 seconds at the end of me trying to figure out how to stop the video. Not in the mood to edit the video so there it is.

I'll have to get on the computer to download some pictures. Hardly use it anymore. With having a phone and all that.

Ah, that's the real barrier to posting your own images. Though I can't imagine browsing forumshire on a cellphone, no matter how large the screen.

Josh's python was big enough I felt the need to steal some of it for my own purposes.

You left me wondering "Who's this Glen Affric guy?" So I looked him up. Rather clean-cut chiseled aspect, I must say.
