Only managed to get out to one of our local streets that does Christmas lights like this. There was another I wanted to get but didn't get the chance.

It's always nice when neighbors work together to string lights across the street. Every city has one or two special streets like that where everyone comes to visit.

I'd say both are 2 degrees too cool for the circumstances.

My air-con is set to 23 degrees in the Summer as well. It gets to 38 outside so 23 inside is a comfortable temperature, if its put on lower than 23 you can get a nasty chill because of acclimatisation being too extreme.

I prefer 25 in summer, 20 in winter. But I don't have central air so I mainly just let it swing until it annoys me then do something about it.

Hello Halfy Smile I think my last post might have been on the 20th ? But come the 22nd I was cut orrrrf in my prime. Some scaly wart of a workman operating for another neighbour nauzed up the connection box outside that held the cables.

Yeah, I see you on Dec 20 but the statistics page said Nov 28. Shrugging

Edit: Aha, "last topic" was nov 28, so I assume you started some new thread then.

If cut off from internet and people for so long I'd be frustrated at first, then throw myself into reading, possibly writing projects.

Um, minor point.  The USA toppled under the hands of extremists while you were gone.  I suppose you won't miss it much.

Ahh, that is nice to see, Azzie! We've had a good while with winter wonderland snow, which hung on tree branches and gave good conditions for play and fun. Now there's thick ice on the road outside our house and all the way down to the main road, and the snow is not hard enough to carry you but much too hard for sleding. Still, I find it hard to complain. I don't have to go anywhere ( as Iam still laid off from work*) and here's picture I took today. We could have been stuck in a small apartment in a city with full lockdown and home schooling.

Tales of Home - Page 10 Img_2025

*laid off at work? Don't know the correct wording here. Anyhow, not expecting to get back to work untill March, maybe. Could have done a lot at home, but is mainly doing as little as possible.
