That's rather romantic. A gal wants you enough, she can take you and your whole life all at once.

Do you have stalagmites and stalactites in that barrel? I don't want to know what substance they are made from, its probably buckie juice and kilt crust.

Im imaginning sediment, a muddy greyish ooze starting at the ankles & solidifying, some hideous burbling just under the sticky hem of an equally sicky kilt, a bit of froth emitting & heading upwards, a green haze of some odious cloud burst & a desire to escape & breathe fresh air before death eventually gets hold Smile
Does that help ?

The musicians who would usually be playing in bars and clubs have moved outside to places like Central Park, and everyone's here for it.  Watch people dance!

The younger dancers seem to all know each other. I think they're vintage music groupies.

I know we've all been worried about Dave. Well I took it in my head to take a look and I'm pleased to report there have been no fires near him. I suspect he took ship and forgot to tell us. Or more likely he's in the middle of harvest and is too tired to check in.

Just popping in to say hi and let everyone know I'm absolutely fine, just been busy with other things, I've still been lurking and checking the forum every few days, but I hadn't realised it had been so long since I had posted.

Um, it says "We" are Dunoon. I don't see any "we" in there. Should be titled "This is Dunoon".

{{ He's braver than I'd be with an expensive drone flying it that close to the water surface Shocked Technically neither loch nor sea, but a Firth, which is where a river, or several, meet the open sea in this case the River Clyde primarily, and is called therefore the Firth of Clyde. The River Clyde is one of the longest in Scotland running for approx 109 miles and passes through Glasgow and then eventually right down by Gourock and finally by us at Dunoon and out to the open sea around the island of Arran. In ancient times it was one of the main routes and highways, and then it was the heart of the industrial revolution and shipbuilding, which still goes on to this day all be it on a much smaller scale.

The days of sailing ships on the Clyde at the Glasgow yards centred around Govan-

and into the more industrilised age-

these days most of the front has been reclaimed for expensive new shorefront properties, but there are still some yards left working-

The Clyde as it wends its way towards the sea under the Erskine Bridge-

And out passed Gourock where it becomes the Firth of Clyde (alongside a tall ship you can see there is the Waverely, the last oceon going paddle steamer still plying its way, full of tourists these days, up and down the Clyde)-
