Was the Carrock not in the midst of the river, or right next to it?
And I can't say I like the trees much, same problem as in LotR's, (only worse as Mirkwood is a bigger part of the story here than any forest was in LotR's) they are wimpy southern hempishpere trees, no girth to the bole, weird shapes. Mirkwood is a northern forest. That doesn't look like one. Evil or Very Mad

too true petty, this looks like a tropical jungle, not a Middle Earth Oak, Beech and Elm forest. its just aesthetically skewwiff. Dont they have access to more Northern hemispheric looking woods.

I think it's rather suspect of a fansite (which is what the-hobbitmovie.com is) to create posters that so clearly imitate official teaser posters. It seems quite misleading (not to mention visually jarring).

try a thick layer of lard, that normally keeps drafts out nicely I find. its also waterproof for when you need to buy snacks from men in vans. Wink

No, I think not Mrs Figgs if only because my buckie related incidents tend to leave me waking up in pig sty's, stables and the like all over Forumshire. Therefore coating my nether regions in lard under such likely circumstances can only lead to arrest by the sherriffs and embarrassment on my part, and that of the pig/horse.

Bilbo's ears look rather big. No? And might just be the lighting but he looks a bit stubbly, but hobbits don't grow beards.

He doesn't look stubbly to me. The ears do appear noticeably larger and more 'elf-like' than the Hobbit ears in LOTR, though.
