There were definitely months when Norc, Petty, and occasionally other people had averages in that rage
I'm pretty sure that 13 May 2013 was our biggest single day ever, though there might have been a couple days in November or December of that year that surpassed it. I still have the screenshot of the top 10 posters from that day saved (click for full size).

There was a lot of very rapid back-and-forth in a lot of threads (mostly in the Off-Topic forum IIRC) taking place in a weird stew of teenage hormones and boredom.

Well, I was already 21 when I first appeared here so I missed out on the weird teenage hormonal stuff (though I'm now old enough for the ''oh bugger I'm supposed to be an useful adult by now'' worries instead), though I think I've contributed a fairly sizeable amount of my own bored shitposting/randomness in these last four years to make up for it...
