Yeah, I wonder about her too.  It was amazing and very touching that when she was homeless she would still check in and post.  Makes me worry about what happened.

I often wonder how Sinister71 is doing (some of you guys are Facebook friends with him I think?), he hasn't posted in a couple of years but was always a very strong willed, thoughtful contributor and his crabbit outburts on the Hobbit films gave Petty some serious competition...

I think alot of people go through cycles on forums, joining for the initial burst of excitement as they find a new hobby or opinion and gradually fall away as they loose interest or move on in life, I'm sure most of our former members are doing well wherever they are.

I joined this forum relatively late Sep 2013 I think, and by that point ironically I was already fast loosing interest/patience with The Hobbit trilogy (which is why I don't really post at TORn anymore simply don't feel I'm qualified/interested enough in Tolkien anymore to contribute anything of interest), I joined because Bree went down and I wanted somewhere to vent and moan, but I stayed because you guys are all so nice and interesting, it's good fun to have a forum with such widespread casual discussion and relatively few troublemakers over the years...

Yes, same here, I basically joined this forum to moan about the Hobbit too, interest was fading quickly with how the thing was looking to turn out
