I like them. The top one reminds me of a painting on the ceiling of my dentist's operating room. It shows some kind of sea-queen's court, all dressed up in sea-shells and ornate clothing made of sea-weed, riding on the backs of various fish or eels. In the background are some mermaids swimming about. 
I couldn't find it though, by searching online.

Aha! I did some sleuthing and found him. The name is James C. Christensen, and he just died in January of this year actually, so the two artists have recent deaths in common too.

Oh no ! I know of him ! I posted some of his artwork earlier on, well, ages ago really. I love his work !

{{I wonder if her field test of Buckie is the reason we haven't heard from Her Maj since about that time! I warned her RL buckie was not the same as the special Forumshire buckie in Her cellars! Its got no miruvor in it (not even 0.00001%!) and absolutely no special Royal rasberry essence.
I suspect she might not be so much as absent from the Forum of late as just still drunk Wherever you are Yer Maj- hope you sober up and return soon! Even I'm struggling to drink, um, I mean, manage, all the buckie in your Royal Cellar in your absence. And there's no-one to keep Huan under control (or what passes for control where that big mutts concerned ) }}}

Looking at Tin's most recent posts she made it back from the UK but did not try buckie. Her last post was more than a year ago but a couple Google searches indicate that she's enjoying a fairly successful college golf career.

NB Also, Gandalf's Beard is still working on his Harry Potter fanfic, but I have no idea about yooper since I don't have anything more specific to search for him with.
