There's a growing theory out there that the dinosaurs with large crests, spikes and horns actually evolved these extra bits for just this kind of ritual display that we still see in birds. {{though it boggles the mind to imagine a dinosaur trying that!

And it seems most 2-legged dinosaurs had feathers, so a bird-like display is not out of the question. I'd very much like to know if the non-birdlike dinosaurs had feathers. Can you imagine diplodocus with feathers?
