Good point from Martha Raddatz. Trump give rural voters hope, even if they didn't believe it. Clinton gave them nothing.

Yeah, the House was always likely to stay GOP, but they're gonna keep the Senate as well at this point. BBC people talking about the possibilities for how Trump would interact with Congressional leadership. Be interesting to see how much he tries to clean house/remake the GOP in his image.

Apparently Pennsylvania is very close right now, but most of the vote is counted and Trump is slightly ahead.

Just looked at NYT and yeah, they're showing Trump with a lead in PA for the first time now. That would seal it. He's already got 14 essentially guaranteed votes coming from AZ and AK.

Simple but obvious analysis I haven't seen before. American voters agree that Hillary is more qualified, that building a wall is stupid, but they feel the most important thing is to make a change.

I doubt he has the chops (or even the interest) to clean house. I'm guessing the GOP machine already has a strategy to work around him while throwing him an occasional bone.

ABC commentators are totally fucking up the analysis. They say it may be incorrect polling due to embarrassment. But the numbers show so clearly it's the rural turnout.

Well a big part of polling is estimating the turnout of various demographics. Disputes over how demographics are weighted by pollsters get brought up most years. There was a big thing with Republicans creating "unskewed polls" in 2012 that turned out to be wrong, but the opposite seems to be the case this year.
