Dear Eldo,

I'm worried about Pretty. She's been over at Dark Planet ruffling feathers, and just when my overtures were gaining some ground. She says over there that "the proof is in the pudding" and other inflammatory things - which I'm not sure even will fit within the Family Friendly Rules over there.

Here is the post I made in return, trying to ease matters.

Dear Orwell, Pretty, and all others interested by this matter,

It is my own personal opinion that if we want Taz to give us our old threads back in any way - either by uploading them to PT or by giving us the data privately - we shouldn't harass him about it or make rude public comments. I say this in the interest of politeness and pragmatism, although I agree with others that it's very frustrating to have lost so much, and doubly so when Taz gave so many promises that nothing would be lost.

Furthermore, since in my own personal experience Taz has taken a long time to respond to some posts, I think it would be more productive to contact him - politely - by e-mail instead of posting in the forums. The moderators on PT are already aware of their grievances, and continuing to bug them about it won't change anything or make us any friends. Again, I offer this solely as my personal opinion, and I'm not going to tell anyone how to behave on another site.

Pretty causing trouble- what a suprise. I'll have words with Pure Publications, no point me talking to her she will just do the oppoite to spite me, but those who control the flow of buckie might have some say. Soon quiten her down, theres always a cosh and a bag over the head if all else fals, not be the frst time thats been resorted to just to get her out of somewhere before it explodes (usually because of her).

Yes, I think you should do something about that sister of yours, Petty - undoing all my good work and all. Civility is always better than giving out strong opinions. (Sorry, Eldo, I am, at heart, a smartarse!)
