Must have adjusted the speed on a lot of those to fit the same rhythm.

I don't know if you'd notice a 20% change in speed, and with appropriate choices that's about all that you'd need.

New Billie Eilish album is pretty good. One of the most refreshing new thing I've heard since the Fleet Foxes album last autumn. Wasn't a fan or anything from before actually, just good music.

In this one you don't have to wait so long to hear the tyke sing, with her cute little kid's palate. (I don't know Russian, but it struck me those kids weren't blurring their 'R's and 'L's.)

Question for the lawyers amongst us...would a legal team only accept working on such a case if there was at least some sort of evidence? Or is it simply a case of 'you pay, we work'.

Ack, have to have an account, but I think we know the story. You made lawyers plural. I'm sitting on my hands.

{{ Not a lawyer but according to the story the crime took place in New York, and a quick google hunt tells me that there is no statute of limitations in New York on crimes of rape. So theres no technical reason it couldnt be prosecuted, the problem would be convincing a jury if they did get it to court if its a he said, she said scenario alone.
And dont know how getting to court works in the US, in Scotland theres someone called the Prosecutor Fiscal who evalutes cases for the liklihood they would result in a conviction, if the case is very weak it wont get to court at all. I cant find so far if New York has an equivelent, or if its a matter of if you want to pay for a court case you can get one (it is America and everything seems to have a dollar value, justice included). }}

In criminal cases it must be brought to the attention of the state prosecutor some way.  I only know of this happening via the police or the volition of the prosecutors themselves - typically something gets reported to the police who pass it on after investigation, while prosecutors fill their time going after things that they think will make a big difference, like mob operations.  Lawyers are available for free for criminal cases ("public defenders"), though you may be rolling the dice if you don't hire your own. For civil cases yeah, it's whoever has the time and money.  But they can be thrown out by a judge on review before trial.

Legal teams will make their own decisions on whether to take a case, and many times money will do the trick.  But there's a surprising number of cases that are taken on pro-bono.  It seems to be a hobby of lawyers to prove they are a force for good.  I would not be surprised if this woman's case is taken on those terms.
