So you keep seeing people write about Kylo Ren. Where did this name come from? It's never mentioned in the trailers.

Which of those questions do you want us to answer?

The spin-offs have been out for months now: toys*, collectibles, multiple ongoing comic book series, several novels set between ROTJ and TFA, etc. The official Star Wars site has also updated its online encyclopedia with a lot of pages for new characters from Episode VII:
http://www.starwars.com/databank/kylo-ren
*At work we have the Kylo Ren POP! figure, a Kylo Ren bobblehead, Kylo Ren's lightsaber ($250), Kylo Ren's lightsaber ($30), a plastic Kylo Ren Halloween mask, a life-size Kylo Ren cardboard cutout, and Kylo Ren's spaceship in LEGO form. Not to mention all the other characters.
Re: Star Wars [2]
Kylo Ren bobble head? No doubt some battles can be won by humilation: just beam some of those to a galaxy far, far away and watch his following melt.

They always seem to sneak a couple of days, don't they.

They do actually! Must threaten the movie-makers with a shipment of lutefisk if they don't have a leg-up on the rest of the world!

That $250 one had better be a real lightsaber.

Re: Star Wars [2]
It's close. It's got a full blade that lights up and when you swing it, it makes the correct lightsaber noise, and also makes the lightsaber clashing noise if you hit it against another one.
Re: Star Wars [2]
Well, I looked these up, and color me impressed.
Still not convinced on that price tag, though. Plus I saw some of these on Amazon going for over $1000.

With Thursday night previews they'll be showing TFA on the 17th here, but I'm probably not going to be able to see it. Unfortunately work is behind on scheduling so I don't know for sure when I'll get to do, but it'll probably be Friday the 18th.

Yeah, lutefisk might do the trick. Most norwegian food isn't that bad though.

Re: Star Wars [2]
My brother has invited me to go as 7th wheel along with him, his wife, and two other couples. Jeez talk about awkward; if that's the case I'd rather just go by myself. Plus he wants to go on the 19th to a theater that will no doubt be packed to the brim. I say eff that, I'd rather go to my local podunk theater with no crowds.

Re: Star Wars [2]
Well, it could be a good opportunity to ask someone you like a bit to come along.
Say your brother asked you, but want you to be the 7th wheel with three couples and you'd think it might be rather awkward going on your own.
Who knows, might swing it..
