Re: Just...................whatever [6]
This reminds me so of Petty and Figgs.
In a good way, now.
Henry Crun: Mnk - I suggest that every one entering Brighton be handed a bald wig and that he should sleep in that self-same wig.
Minnie Bannister: Rubbish - if all the men wear bald wigs, the Phantom will attack the women.
Henry Crun: I fear that the ladies, too, will have to wear bald wigs.
Minnie Bannister: Rubbish buddy - why should I wear a bald wig - I'm already bald.
Henry Crun: Well, wear a bald wig - mnk - with hair on.
Minnie Bannister: You c - You can't have a bald wig with hair on, buddy.
Henry Crun: Gnk - mnk. Why not - eh - why not?
Minnie Bannister: What? What? I'll tell you, listen, listen. If a bald wig had hair on - it wouldn't be bald.
Henry Crun: What? What? What? What? What? What?
Minnie Bannister: Who ever heard of a bald-headed man with hair on, eh?
Henry Crun: Well, I've heard of, I've...
Minnie Bannister: Who? Who? Go on, tell me, who? Who? Who?
Henry Crun: No, no, no - I'm not going to tell you.
Minnie Bannister: That's because you don't know anybody with a hairy bald head do you.
Henry Crun: Yes I do, Minnie.
Minnie Bannister: No you don't.
Henry Crun: ...I do Minnie.
Minnie Bannister: Who, who? Go on, tell me, who?
Henry Crun: I don't see why I should tell you.
Henry Crun and Minnie Bannister: [Argue]
Minnie Bannister: ...Because you don't know an - you don't know any one with a hairy bald head. Do you?
Henry Crun: [Mumbles grudgingly] Mnk... I do ... I do know somebody with a hairy bald head.
Minnie Bannister: ...You don't.
Henry Crun: Mnk - grnp - knp... I do.
Minnie Bannister: Don't.
Henry Crun: Mnk do.
Minnie Bannister: Y'don't.
Henry Crun: [Shouts angrily] Mnk Grmp Nuk Knup... I... Mnk. I dooooooooo!
Minnie Bannister: [Shouts angrily] You donttttttttttt!
FX: [Clash of sabres to mix with argument - two pistol shots - sabres continue - one pistol shot followed by silence]
Henry Crun: Mnk, I do.
Minnie Bannister: Y'don't. I'm going home - I say you don't know a bald man with hair on his head, so there. Pah!
FX: [Door slams]
Henry Crun: Pah... I do I...
FX: [Phone rings. Receiver.]
Minnie Bannister: [Distorted] You don't.
Henry Crun: I do.
FX: [Receiver slammed down.]
Henry Crun: I do.
FX: [Door opens.]
Minnie Bannister: You don't.
FX: [Door slams.]
Henry Crun: I do, I...
FX: [Phone rings - receiver grabbed off hook]
Henry Crun: [Shouts] IdoIdoIdoIdoIdoIdoIdoIdo! Idoknowamanwithahairybald head! IdoIdoIdoIdoIdo-Ido, sothere-Ido! IdoIdoIdo know a man with a hairy bald head... So there... I do!
Milligan: Thank you. Could I speak to Mr. Seagoon please?

Re: Just...................whatever [6]
Does anyone know anything about lighting for photography? I have to take some new passport photos in one of those public booth things, but from memory this booth in particular makes me look like Mrs Nosferatu. I am very pale and the lighting in the booth makes me look shadowy and scary. Is there a way I can tip the balance of scariness in my favour (save a bucket of fake tan, or somebody with human toned skin taking my place) I thought taking in some silver foil as a light bouncer or something, you know, those silver sheets you put in your car windscreen to stop it melting. Anyway any tips would be appreciated.

Many places will do passport photos semi-professionally - as in they don't know anything about photography but somebody has set things up for them. UPS stores often do it. A bit pricy, but you only have to do it every 10 years, and they are guaranteed to fit local passport requirements.

I don't know much about such stuff, but I think what you're needing is some kind of a light diffuser that you can put in front of the lights to filter their harshness. Some kind of translucent white paper, the thinner the better, and some tape to stick it up over the lights would be worth a try. Try googling light diffuser and see if you get any better ideas.
I'm afraid that's the best idea I've got...

thanks Dave I will try that. not sure what the light source is in a photo-booth, or which direction it comes from, I will experiment.

Find some cheap toilet paper and separate the layers.

Re: Just...................whatever [6]
thanks for that idea. The problem is the light is dull and flat rather than harsh. I need more light not less. Its an old photobooth machine, theres another one at the train station which gives nice luminous sparkly effects, but its 10 miles away.

Figgy - why don't you take you own light source? Work out where the shadows are on your face and then light it up. Also, wear some pale colours to bring out what I am sure is your natural colour.
I don't worry about that kinda thing. Looked like a cocaine addict in my passport before last.

Whoever picked that music must be the kind of loser who hikes through the woods with their headphones blasting.
