Pretty good concept but my mom has actually made a lot of progress in terms of being open-minded about certain kinds of movies. She used to hate Tarantino cause of the gore but we're planning to go see The Hateful Eight in a couple of days. 
My dad, on the other hand, did watch Reservoir Dogs recently-ish, but didn't care for it because of the violence.

Going out can be fun, but mostly if you're with someone you know, trust and feel comfortable with.
Somehow meeting new people is a lot easier then too. (Kind of like how members of the opposite sex seem to find you more interesting when you are in a relationship. (I guess being comfortable with yourself makes you project your personality differently or something.
