Re: Sauron in the Hobbit
It is a bit funny, when the Elves leaves out letters it's interesting, when kids do it it's just text speech and annoying.
So it would be ñtr, but with the wavy thing underneath the n. And in tengwar, of course. Come to think of it, it would sort of look like this:

I write it drowningly! Ooo, and I've been meaning to ask, what do you use for æ, æ and å?

Re: Sauron in the Hobbit
oh.. I tried making my own letters, but I ended up with o for ø, a for å, e and a for æ. doesn't really work, I try to avoid those letters, but it aint easy. Sometimes I put the a under instead of over with the æ, cause the other solution looks ridiculous.
the skj-sound (skj, sj, sk)and the kj-sound(k, ki, kj) is harder though. cause it's the same sound but with different letter, so should I write all the letters or just the "sound" letter which is tecnically more correct..? also looks ridiculous with to many consontants pressed together, especially k and j which looks very similar.

Re: Sauron in the Hobbit
Yup, exactly the same things I've been thinking about as well.

I refuse to even comment on that Mrs Figgs beond to say you'd have to get a fitting for something like that- now there's a job-Saurons tailor, "I'll just take your inside leg, Lord Sauron. And which side does sir dress on?"

I'm afraid the younger and fairer amongst us may not catch that, Petty.

OK, was that on purpose? I mean, considering the Eye of Sauron after all.
I don't want to miss a pun.

the "wirte" was not intended I was just too fast.
that link is in swedish, but yes, it could help thanks ^^

Yes I knew that this paper describes (in Swedish) how Swedish can be written with Tengwar, and I was thinking that a couple of the invented tehtar here could be stolen for a Norwegian mode: perhaps the a-tehta with five dots for å, and the 'inverted' a-tehta for æ (used for ä in this Swedish mode). The Beleriandic system aside here.
Not attested by Tolkien of course, but then again obviously the Elves didn't speak Norwegian or Swedish...
... just Finnish, Latin and Welsh

Most Finns also speak Swedish I believe, so why shouldn't the elves?
That was a nice link, Elthir. Five dots and up-side-down A has crossed my mind and sketch book too, I truly dislike using oe, ae and aa when writing, especially with Tengwar.

I can read Swedish too... it just makes no sense to me when I sound out the words
[sorry, as I say I was recently behorsed for a time, and one doesn't get over that all at once]
I do know what Bjorn Borg means however and I did figure out 'exempel' for instance, in Per's article.
