I think Australian basics includes learning about all the wildlife that can kill you. Naturally, it takes longer when you have so much to cover. Deadly spiders, deadly snakes, deadly kangaroos, Lunch time, English, maths, deadly sharks, deadly fish. And that's just Monday's schedule.

When you put it like that, it's a wonder they even live 20 years.

That was a lovely melody & I loved the sudden fall of snow & ice into the sea as he was playing, that made more of a statement even tho of course it wasnt planned. And then the sad cry of the bird at the end.

According to Marlinspike Magazine, Harald is already in Newfoundland. Of course this whole thing is a grand global diplomatic chess game of which we're only seeing a small piece of the board, so I'm curious to hear what Fjordlandians may think of this.

One can only wonder... They are not saying yes or no. It's more like: don't ever ask this again, you'll have to figure it out when or if you get here, also we're really hoping you won't come.

Hmmm... it makes me wonder if the award and invitation was 100% sincere, or partly a dare, or even a trap. You'd have thought they might have discretely explored the legalities before issuing the invitation.

It was a show-off PR stunt, the classic "hey world, look at us - we're right here and we're best in class!", nothing more. Sometimes I really loathe Norwegian officials. The government kisses American Ass, the rest kiss All Other Kissable Asses (for example Snowden and his fans). We have nice scenery, though.
