Been having a bit of a tricksy time of it of late but got cheered up today when I visited my mother who was babysitng my two nieces, aged 3 and 7. The 7 year old asked me to draw her some puppies and kittens and butterflies, so I did and asked her if she was not going to draw any. To which she replied, "I only draw houses. Im going to draw houses when I'm grown up."
"So you want to be an architect?" I asked.
"No, just draw houses," she insisted, "I'm going to draw you a house."
She then drew something that looked like a boomerang and said it was my new house explaining as she handed it over, "Its a banana house."
"You forgot to draw me a door to get in," I observed and got a frowning stern look back in response accompined by the withering, "Don't be so silly. Its a banana house. You peel it."

Priceless!

Here's one from my 4,5 year old. She wanted help to fasten a towel round her neck, and I assumed she was going to be a superhero again.
She got quite annoyed with her silly mommy and shouted:
