I think she's a delightful young woman who's writing interesting songs, but eww the delivery....is she deliberately changing her voice to a squawk-growl in the low ranges? Is she breaking all the rules for singer's enunciation of words on purpose? Drifting pitch on long notes?

Either she's artistically messing with things, or she really needs to learn her craft.

Given that she's not holding the pitch on some notes, and is definitely not 'bending' the tone for effect as she's clearly running out of air - I have to conclude she's got her work cut out for her to be a musician.

Obviously I can hear what you are all getting at, her voice is a bit particular and her delivery affected, but I can't say I ever really minded. Mostly I've just been in awe of the songwriting. That's not to say I can't understand it's not for everyone though.
