That's why I'm not a proper musician. I keep smiling in pictures.

I try its just when there's nobody else there to ham it up for I figure why bother... LOL I might have a smiling picture somewhere here but then I would have to post it to prove I can smile
Not sure if the world is ready for that

I guess smiling could be seen as a bit out of place in certain genres, but generaly I can't see it hurting all that much. Also music just makes me smile.

That synth-pop percussion though!
I remember a friend of mine from school gave me a CD once with some Postal Service songs on it; I didn't much care for them then either.
Hehe. Well, I've heard a total of three of thier songs. Which is the three first on their only album. I love the first one, that one, think the second one is good, and the the third one a bit meh.
I totally get what you're saying about the production, though I just found it quaint and charming for some reason.
Well, I listened to the rest of the album and found it a bit meh as well. I mostly like the first two songs. The production is certainly a bit exhuburant err.. energetic.., but I think it's kind of fun too. And I do like the basic idea of the genre mix, with the electropop production and the indie rock songwriting.

"Such Great Heights" I don't mind so much. I think it's just one of those particular taste situations, where a singer's voice doesn't sit right with a listener.Bluebottle wrote:

I think I like some groups with similar productions, so I shouldn't make too much fun of the electropop, as you call it.

That's one of my favorite CSN(Y) performances I've seen.

Yeah, the duelling guitars just kill it.

Yeah, I get that. Which are the similar bands that you like? Maybe I'll look them up.

I was looking up an old Dylan favourite on Youtube, Dignity, and I found this:
I almost forgot I wasn't listening to Dylan himself for a while there, great cover
