The poppy exhibit is very impressive and quite moving.

Halfy: yep, they've been doing the maze for ages, with a new one every year. The first year we went they hear a crab, and they've also done Fort McHenry and various Ravens and Orioles designs.

Took some more night pictures. I like taking pictures at night but I hate using the flash as it destroys the very lighting effects that I am trying to capture, but it does mean at least half of the pictures I take are just black! Here's the best of the most recent set.
There is something about the orange glow of street lights illuminating just bits of stuff in the dark I always find oddly eerie.

Petty - can't you just pull up the light/contrast levels on computer? Half of those are perfectly atmospheric, the others need some help.

Its one of those things- adjusting the light levels alters the mood, and everyones tv and monitor levels are different anyway- so it will be darker and brighter depending on your settings anyway.

If I have my tv on 'movie' setting they are really dark and hard to make out detail, if I change my monitor to 'standard' setting they arent and you can see details.
