Quite candid.
I feel compelled to say it again: I think it was a mistake for GRRM to give his series to HBO and B&W.
Re: Tyrion, a lot of book fans feel he has been sanctified in the series and feel this is a problem. I'm inclined to agree he has been sort of scrubbed clean, but I think that's among the least of the show's problems.

I don't care. Tyrion is the highlight of the show.

I'm sure "AngryGoTFan" transcribed the tone and wording of those comments exactly.
A lot of this was already known, too. GRRM saying show!Tyrion is different from in the book, that which characters are alive has become quite different, and that he has his own mental images separate from the show are just a few I recognize off the top of my head. I don't really see how any of these could be controversial or surprising either.
Re: A Song of Ice and Fire [2]
Based on the caps lock it looks like GRRM was shouting the whole time.

Re: A Song of Ice and Fire [2]
George commenting on some of his supposed quotes which on the whole seems accurate. Except for the writing the last two books at the same time, but I think there is probably a disconnect there where he said and is doing something similar. (That he has written certain characters into Dream of Spring, which seems likely going off his known technique of writing one character far ahead before jumping to the next.) He also says he pretty much said some of these things, but his answer were of course a lot longer and more detailed.

Really interested to see this Q&A now. Hopefully someone filmed it and will share it eventually.

Dream of Spring.

Direct link to those comments: http://grrm.livejournal.com/440213.html?thread=22477973#t22477973
I was already pretty sure that the actual comment behind the "both last books at the same time" tweet was something along the lines of him having moved already-written chapters into ADOS. That makes a lot more sense to me.
Of course, I'm also pretty sure there's gonna be more than two "last books" before the series is finished.

I see.
I found this story, though, that says the part is cast. The guy actually kind of resembles Alfie Allen.

Re: A Song of Ice and Fire [2]
Sounds like several characters will be heading to the Riverlands and hopefully something more resembling the book (S6 spoilers if accurate, naturally).

Okay, this is huge - especially since it crosses into Winds of Winter territory.

Re: A Song of Ice and Fire [2]
I don't think anyone is surprised that
and there's a good chance this happens in the book too, but the chain of events leading to it could be quite different for all we know.
Now if
then I would be very surprised.

Not sure whether there's any merit to this, the central Winds of Winter contention seem unsourced, but.. it's appealing to contemplate.. that there might be..

I'm not going to say anything derogatory about certain groups of fantasy fans, but God am i close to. (That anyone who has read his books can miss his/their progressive nature..)
