I heard a joke similar to this, wouldn't have believed it to be so close to reality:

"I was out fishing on the river, when above my head I saw a branch shaking. On the far end of the branch sticking out over the water was the most beautiful acorn you've ever seen, large and beautiful. Back closer to the tree there was a squirrel who was running partway out the branch, getting scared by the shaking of the skinny branch over the water and running back to safety; then running out again, getting a little further out each time. Eventually he made it all the way out, wrapped his paws around the acorn and started tugging on it.

"All of a sudden a great big fish leapt out of the water, must have been 8 feet high, grabbed the squirrel and acorn in its mouth, and fell back into the water.

"I backed away from the water a few feet and was thinking over what I just saw, when the fish jumped out of the water again...and stuck that acorn back on the branch."

I think this showcases that one of the best things about human beings is our self awareness. Like, we know we are destroying the enviroment. That doesn't seem to stop us, but at least we are aware.

Orcas are just highly developed mamals without self awareness.

Pinnipeds (seals and sea lions) sometimes rotate themselves in a counterclockwise fashion in order to hypnotize predators or prey. So confused by the perfect upright circles, animals are quickly distracted and are unable to focus on anything else.
