I still haven't seen the CHRISTMAS SPECIAL!!
I can't find anywhere to actually download it. Places like Amazon only offer instant streaming.

"The fiftieth anniversary episode of Doctor Who was the most accessed programme on the BBC iPlayer for the whole of 2013.
The Day of the Doctor topped the chart with 3.2 million people accessing the episode at some point.

The Christmas episode, Time of the Doctor, which saw Matt Smith leave the series, was accessed 1.95 million times in the week following transmission, enough to make it the 32nd most requested programme of the year and the most requested programme for Christmas week.

Nearly a million people downloaded the iPlayer mobile and tablet apps over the Christmas period.

All ten episodes of Doctor Who, which premiered in 2013, made the top 50 programmes on iPlayer in 2013.

Overall the 2013 episodes were requested over 19 million times during the year. The 2012 episodes were also available on iPlayer for part of the year and requested a total of 2.39 million times. The 14 episodes from Series Six were requested 4.51 million times and Series Five 0.67 million times." - Gallifrey Base

Impressive figures   Should keep the BBC happy and making it (and of course these are only the UK figures there's all the overseas to add up too)

Some Day of the Doctor viewing figures-

UK - 12.8m
USA - 3.6m
Australia - 1.95m
Canada - 1.1m
France - 719,000
New Zealand - 219,500

That pushes the audience just over 20 million- but there still about another 90 countries it was shown in for which the figures are not yet available. And this is tv viewing so does not include the global cinema audience either.

Rough estimates put the total figure somewhere upwards of 35 million!

what is it with these titles  ? the day of the doctor, the time of the doctor, some day of the doctor..??

They all form a set of interlinked stories- Name of, Night of, Day of and Time of.

Moffat seems to linked themed stories by title styles- so we have ones which state something- The Eleventh Hour- The Impossible Astronaut.

And we have stories directly and importantly linked to the Name of set- so we had Day of the Moon and Wedding of River Song for example.

The main one that sticks out as an anomaly is A Good Man Goes to War- but then maybe its meant to be anomalous as its an episode that actually covers something from the seige of Trenzalore, just moved back in time.

Kovarian- "To end this long and bitter war."

Doctor- "What war? Against who?"

Kovarian- "Against you Doctor."

So can we eventually look forward to the doctor of the doctor then?

Well unless he ties stuff in backwards to Trenzalore ect I assume Moffat will have to scratch his head and devise a new set of titles he can put clues into for the Capaldi era of Who.

I might not have been altogether serious, but I'm sure you're aware of that.

Still, shame. The doctor of the doctor might have been interesting.   

Nice fan trailer for The Beast Below- a much maligned episode, including by Moffat who wrote it, its his least favourite- but I cant help but enjoy it (its also the least Moffty Who episode he has written in my opinion, so much so I had watched it twice before I noticed he had written it)-

Interesting. In what way would you say it's the least Moffaty Moffat episode, Petty?

Also to complete the set of the ones I'm aware of:   

Id say its the least Moffaty in that its one of the rare linear stories Moffat tells.
There are no time shenanigans, to clever tie in to the overall plot- its just a straight forward adventure.
The only other Moffat episode I think its similar too in that way is Bells of Saint John which is also more a straight forward adventure too, but Id say Beast Below more so.

Yeah, they are rather great.    Particularily when people recognize him.

Actually, I just remembered I'd forgotten to post one and stumbled over two more I hadn't heard when searching for it on youtube.

Great fun ! thanks Blue, He cant resist dropping in Galifrey or a Dalek or 2 each time can he !   

Yeah. I particularily love the one where he phones the DIY store and say htey are in grave danger because they have all the parts necessary to make Daleks.

Well, I just watched it and it's rather great.    

The pinacle of Douglas Adams work on the show. And it doesn't hurt that him and Tom Baker is the perfect combination. Really makes you think what he could have done if he had been given a bit more free reign with the show, or if someone like him was around to work on the program today.
