I don't check IP addresses as often as I used to, plus I was in a hurry this morning, but when I got back from work it was pretty suspicious with Smaug's moralizing right off the bat. A quick IP check was all that was needed to confirm it since the dude was not exactly trying to be sneaky. Fortunately this was not the most bizarre or creepy sockpuppet experience I've had, though.
