Things that are making you crabbit! [4]

Everyone knows about it Halfwise, we we're just too ashamed for you to say anything. Sorry that we let you down.

So about a week ago I see that Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart are doing Waiting for Godot together. One of those plays you are always curious about but never see. And I find I can get tickets for only $40! So I get my ticket, 7 pm, all excited.

Today rolls around. I'm all excited to go see these amazing actors doing such an iconic play. around 5 pm I print out my ticket.

It says 2 pm on it.   

The worst thing is, today was an official holiday. I totally could have done 2 pm. I am so royally crabbit right now....

Ouch!!!!!   Yeah that is reason to be pretty damn crabbit. Buckie time I think Halfy!

  That's the only solution I see. Maybe I'll get over it and plop down another $40 to try again, but I'm too peeved to swallow the bitter pill right now.

If you felt $40 was okay for a play you wanted to see, you probably would've though 80 was ok too - go for it

Actually it was $50 after all the fees and stuff.    Have to see how long they are running, preferably longer than my crabbit mood. Nobody to blame but myself.

I'm so mad at myself I'm thinking of going across the street to the 24 hour McDonald's with a wad of money...to really hurt myself.

That really bites. Waiting for Godot is a wonderful play. I would love to see Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart as Vladimir and Estragon.

Note to people who know me in real life and drive passed me in the street.
DO NOT HONK YOUR HORN!   
A cheery wave will do, if I dont appear to notice you its because I am deep in thought, writing in my head, or puzzling over something. Honking your horn will only a) make me jump several feet in the air and possibly result in a heart attack and B) ruin my train of thought entirely.

In which case I may well come round your house, rip the horn from your car shove it up your arse and then repeatedly kick it until its rammed so far up that when you open your mouth to protest you will just go 'HONK!'   You have been warned!   

Trees should fall down when you cut them!  

A big dead cedar pivoted on me at the last split second before I removed the chainsaw, pinching the bar and chain in the back-cut.

After changing my underwear, I went back and unbolted the power head from the blade, leaving the blade and chain still pinched in the tree, which is still balanced there hours later!     

I hope we get a good wind tonight.....

I was cutting up branches in the yard today and had to finish removing a couple that had cracked from the ice a week or two ago. I almost took one to the face as it fell -- I can't imagine an entire tree wobbling over me like that.

I hate it when that happens, I also hate it when I cut the hedge and the ladder I am standing on starts to wobble and then falls leaving me holding on to a big bush for dear life, even though its only like 3 ft off the ground. Big bush hugging should be made illegal.

Only to realize that now instead of a potentially exciting mysterious new song, you merely have an allright one.

Do you often come up with hooks that you think are great, only to forget what it was when you get to a place to record/note it down?

Not really, but if I don't write it down or, much better, record it I tend to forget. Though I always think I will remember for some reason.

I sit and play randomly quite a lot with no purpose other than to mess about. Sometimes I will come up with something I really like the sound of but I am either in the wrong place or don't have time to record it. I never remember it later on.. sometimes the notes I played but never get the rhythm or feel back... which might suggest it actually socks and was just part of the moment.
