I feel weird about eating pigs, given their obvious intelligence. They definitely seem comparable to dogs in that respect. And while I certainly wouldn't eat a dog, I'd be lying if I said that's because of any logically consistent respect for the value of animal life, rather than purely emotional attachments to some species over others.

But that hasn't stopped me from eating pigs yet, though it probably should. :/

They're kinda like cows in that they lose a lot of their more charming personality as they age. It might be said humans are no different. That's probably why when the aliens land to harvest human beings, they'll stick to the middle aged.

If it tasted nice, I would eat dog I think. Dogs are high on my list of favourite animals but unless it was actually a dog I was emotionally attached to then it wouldn't be an issue... same as with any other animal.

I don't like eating other mammals, specially intelligent ones with feelings similar to ours. I have less problems with fish and chickens but they feel fear and get stressed as well, so maybe being a weirdshapedveggytarian is best.

He's quite famous in America for his public TV series.  Any stress you had he could wipe away with his happy little trees and gurgling streams.  He did the series for years, and the older he got, the more mellow he got.  That was an early episode! Razz

From Wikipedia:

"Ross enlisted in the United States Air Force at age 18 and went on to serve as a medical records technician.[4] He eventually rose to the rank of master sergeant and served as the first sergeant of the U.S. Air Force Clinic at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska.[5][6] In Alaska, Ross first saw the snow and mountains that later became recurring themes in his artwork. He developed his quick-painting technique to create art for sale in brief daily work breaks.[7] Having held military positions that required him to be, in his own words, "mean" and "tough", "the guy who makes you scrub the latrine, the guy who makes you make your bed, the guy who screams at you for being late to work", Ross decided that if he ever moved on from the military, he would never scream again.[6]"
