That's quite embarrasing isn't it.
I think I was doing a Spamathon at the time if it's any excuse.

Christ, Indianapolis is terrible with turnovers this game. Wow. This is rather unusual for them.
Also curious to see if there's as much quarterback scrambling in the second half. I expected it from Luck, but it was unexpected (and cool) to see Alex Smith running around so much.
For shame.

- Spoiler:
- I'm pretty sure baseball is a bigger dealer in the Caribbean and possibly Japan than it is in the US these days.
Re: All things sporting [2]
Well, I humbly apologise.
I know you Americans take your sports seriously. (Even when you're the only ones. )

Re: All things sporting [2]
I used to think that, but after being told off by Petty several times I'm not so sure we take sports that seriously after all.
Re: All things sporting [2]
What a fucking catch. Not a bad run in on the next play either.
But KC had better keep the Colts down after this.

Re: All things sporting [2]
Well, there's taking sport too seriously as well.
That's how I would describe Glasgow anyway.

I'll stop interupting your sports commentary now by the way.

Haha, I don't mind. I wish Bungo was here, or someone else who watches the games lives, so we could get more than just my ramblings. So I don't mind having side discussions too.
Also, I feel compelled to point out that we're not totally alone in our love of gridiron football, as Canada has a fully professional league as well. And it's played at the amateur and semi-professional levels in several other countries too.

Sure sure, they have actually sent the Superbowl on television here in the middle of the night over the last couple of years.
So I must admit i have seen some of it.

Poor Aaron Rodgers. Better luck next year and hope you don't get injured again. :/

Re: All things sporting [2]
I didn't watch the entire game but San Fran won with a field goal as time expired. Temperatures were around 0 F so the field and ball were both hard as a rock which probably contributed to a few injuries on the Green Bay side which had already lost a bunch of people on defense. But San Fran handled the cold better than I had expected them to, largely thanks to Frank Gore and the run game (and Kaepernick's scrambling).
Re: All things sporting [2]
Oh, that's right they were at Lambeau! Those fools!
Hopefully Aaron Rodgers will be in for the full season next year.
Go, Pack, go!

I have completely lost track of the NFL this year. How are my Patriots doing? Sure they won their division and went to the play offs.

Yet again. They earned a frrst round bye but play the Colts this weekend. Colts-Patriots has been one of the more entertaining rivalries of recent years, but without Peyton Manning in Indianapolis it doesn't mean nearly as much to me anymore.

Re: All things sporting [2]
There are no teams in the NFL playoffs this year that I'm a fan of (sadly the Ravens five-year playoff streak has been broken ), but I'm pretty happy with how divisional weekend went. The Conference championships will be between two divisional rivals in the NFC and the two best active quarterbacks in the AFC. I'm especially looking forward to seeing a third Brady-Manning championship game.
Prediction: Seattle and New England will win, but I want it to be Seattle and Denver so we can see the number-one defense play the number-one offense in the Super Bowl. I think the AFC championship will be close, but the Patriots played better today despite facing a tougher opponent and Brady has the better track record both in face-offs against Manning and in the playoffs in general.

Pats will probably win. Although I would like to see Denver go all the way, just so it might make Tebow cry.

Re: All things sporting [2]
Pats need to go away already. They were the 2000s dynasty; it's about time we saw a new one since we're nearing the halfway point of the 2010s.
